There are so many sickening and saddening things about those cults, and I can only mourn for the victims of the cults; the loss of their innocence, the abuse they suffered, and loss of lives. Back in college, I had a classmate who said they were a survivor of one of those cults when the topic was brought up. It was from them that I realized those cults exist, but I didn't ask about it further because I knew it'd be such a touchy topic.

It it utterly sickening that people will use cults to exploit innocents. Those mothers who gave away their babies thought they were doing the right thing, but their vulnerability and that of their babies were taken advantage of. Cults aren't really about worship, but about power, control and abuse disguised as worship. I'm glad that survivors are speaking out against it though, and it must have taken so much courage to do that.
