Re: ..........
I think antisexuals CAN masturbate. (English language has 2 meanings for can. I don't mean I think the ideal antisexual is allowed to masturbate. I mean I think people who are under the antisexual umbrella are not necessarily on the same page on masturbation with some being ok with it)
This reminds me of the topic of reproduction. While I would argue that SEXUAL reproduction is still SEXUALITY and is covered under antisexualism (even IVF's, semantically sexual is defined as 2 organism reproduction as opposed to asexual reproduction). There are some people who don't agree.
In the interest of keeping a small community cohesive, some of these differences must be looked past though.
But also, these opinions won't be silenced, and are welcome to be argued. And I like your arguments. My personal response is I do not think sexuality (with others) and masturbation is the same thing however. They're 2 different issues, socially, psychologically (And though you said they were the same physiologically, I'm not sure). They may have similarities though, imo mainly the addiction side. As you brought up porn addiction. I'd also argue that masturbation is more benign, and is preferable to overt sexual activity. Though I would not say it's GOOD, just comparatively good.
And ultimately I'd agree with you that masturbation is not a good habit, but it doesn't tick me off quite the same way to where I think it needs to be crusaded against. Though, sure I can see some opportunities to confront it. (Making an argument against it especially targeting the addiction aspect of it and offering advice)
I do think antisexual is a label that is useful, needs support and where you'll find like-minded people. But I don't think you can expect everyone here who calls themselves antisexuals to all be non-masturbators. Or even necessarily agree on that front.

My answer is the same as before. But I fail to see how you're confusing antisexualism with people who are unable to find a partner.
Presumably people who are unable to find a partner are prosexual, in that they want sex and think positively of it. Antisexuals are not like how they are because of failure to find a partner, but because they refuse to find a partner.

This topic hadn't been addressed directly, but it has been indirectly in this thread: https://iamfortress.forumotion.com/t78-non-hormonal-methods-of-lowering-libido
If an antisexual person has a libido, they find it preferable to lower their libido than act on it. That's what I've observed among antisexuals I met who have libidos or aren't asexual, they often described as it having a body working against themselves.

To be honest, I cannot but agree with Jalpits. You are what you do. And I believe in free choice. No one forces you to become a drug addict or an alcoholic in the first place. You begin with it because you enjoyed it for whatever reason (or for whatever twisted reason).
Anyway, the conception of masturbation as a physical dependency that can throw your body in depravation-mode, as can happen with a proper substance abuse addiction, seems completely out of place, if not wholly gross to me. There’s no room for comparison here.
I cannot conceive of antisexual people other than literal asexual people. Literal.
So, in another way, the question of Jalpits makes no sense to me at all. It’s like asking a vegan: “Okay, you’re vegan, but surely you eat meat, don’t you?”
Of course you don’t.
struggling with choosing the correct default font-size; it's 13?? (on the bar at the top when you write the message)
