"love is love" and related sentiments. Normal people don't care because they're political slogans and have as much meaning as "Yes we can" or "MAGA", over-analyze and of course it will fall apart, it's a political slogan.

But the LGBT sentimentality of equating sex with love (And thus making it supposedly 'good' or 'innocent' and also hence why I was never convinced, as I'm sure other people agree) seems to still be a thing. Why is this? Or rather. Do you guys think it's still a predominant thing? What do you think the general consensus on it is? Have you seen any backlash, and if so what platform did they run on.

Anyways moving on. Something xenosimiana said awhile ago that resonated only because I had recently read something about that at the time. I'm bringing it back. The male-feminists who later turn out to be sex abusers or etc cetera. Anyone know anything about that trend?

This jogged my memory a bit and as of late though I haven't done too much digging. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book though, pretending to share the same ideology as a way for some people to be opportunistic, manipulative and exploitative or whatever crazy reason they have with any type of cause.

Sometimes it's ok, like if some federal police officers infiltrate a group that plans to kill some innocent people. But it's not ok when these same people infiltrate a group that's fighting oppression or if a sexual out of desperation joins a particular cause or group looking for victims. It's not genuine in trying to learn what it's about or actually sharing the same feelings and being proactive about it.

It's disgusting, mainly with groups that I feel are about helping people to some degree because it devalues them and they're a shadow of what they used to be or no longer in existence when it goes unchecked.

I have half-baked idea.
In september I plan to revive my old facebook for a little bit. Limited time run. (Don't want to make interaction with me TOO common or they'll get big heads about it see). Reason is so I can "sell" something (though it doesnt cost) to my old high school mates whom are friends on my old deactivated account. A project I am working on now, something I think they'll be particularly interested in (In-jokes.)

After years of silence though. I can't just re-activate facebook. Well I could, but that would be boring.

My plan is to re-activate it and then, as I have not seen them in awhile, take the opportunity to completely lie about where I am now in life.
But it has to be convincing, so I thought the most obvious "realistic, yet ridiculous" scenario were to put on a fake wedding. Fake pics, fake bride. It would be funny. If a little disgusting.
That's the thing, saying you have a wife is like saying you have a prostitute (statistically). Is there a way to add a little levity, a little spot of "ahaahaaa this is satire" to it? Or is it better to be completely straight with it and act like a complete quintessential """"normie"""" stereotype until the "aha joking *snippy comment*" and moving on to what the business is actually about. I suppose it depends on if they will be fooled or not.

Coincidentally the project I'm talking about concerns a play about "normal life". Though the play is actually decently thoughtful about it with a bit of dry humour. And my project is more of a satire of it. Though most of my satire is less about the subject matter and about the art form. (This play is meta-theatrical and I take advantage of that for the storyline). Though I guess MAYBE I could skew it to being related and claim that my little irl satire is a little publicity stunt (which it is anyway so). Coincidentally what I pair the play with is something born from commercialism.
So maybe I could claim this project is to contrast the super-excited/inflated enthusiastic commercialism with the humble "small-town" mentality of the two things I'm satiring. While also comparing how each "idealizes" the subject matter. lol nah. I'll keep working on the idea though. Only posted it here because I didn't know if anyone here found the idea (of briefly lying to old acquaintances) funny enough and had anything to add to it.
tl;dr A few tweaks and I could directly relate the fake-life idea to the project I'm planning to promote which also deals with fake lives.

The play is "our town" if anyone wants to look it up. Particularly the early 2000's PBS masterpiece theatre rendition of it with Paul Newman.

I think both have their value. I tend to enjoy landscapes more on a day to day basis however, as there's a lot of country land and great scenery where I live.

I don't care either way. Probably because I don't go out much.
