I feel kind of guilty though, because there is a related forum that I admin, that used to be quite active. It has over 2,000 posts total, but its activity has slowed to a crawl over the past few months, but I haven't had much time for it, because of the time I've been spending here.
Holy ####, a forum related to antisexualism with over 2,000 posts? Where is it and please can I read it?

I don't know if it really counts, since it may be a more general celibate site instead, but it's this: http://outsideofsexuality.proboards.com/

This site has a more clear approach than that one, which was more of an experiment. I'd like to think that they can coexist though. I've seen some people say they like that site but not this one, and vice-versa. I'm just struggling with reviving activity there while maintaining it here.

Thanks for your answers, but you didn't answer my questions lol Would you feel comfortable if an animal were like that romantic towards you?

This is an interests I had since I was a child (to help animals).

I don't think there are homeless cats in my city, but who knows.. There are homeless animals in all countries.

Yea, there are parents who buys animals to their small children like if it was a toy or something! That's insane. I have seen animal shelters websites. They receiving animals until they find foster home who can take care of it until someone comes and adopt it.

As someone who has owned cats most of her life, I find it sweet for a cat to rub its head on my legs or crawl into my lap.  (Though if I'm busy with something, that can get annoying sometimes.  My current cat is sometimes affectionate at the wrong times.)

What I find exasperating and painful is that at times he likes to bite me unprovoked, sometimes breaking the skin.  I know he doesn't mean any harm, but it hurts and that's the only thing that bothers me about him.  He's been doing it since he was a kitten.  I tried training him by distracting him with a toy or using bitter apple, but it works temporarily.  I guess this is something he is predisposed into doing.  Now I just open an umbrella which has him run away and forget about biting for a while.  (He also like to chew things sometimes, so I have to hide certain belongings.)  Other than that behavior, I can't imagine living without him.  I adopted him from a shelter when he was a kitten three years ago.

wow It's always beautiful to read that people adopt animals from shelter. I have read that animals are taken to the veterinary station to be euthanized if no one adopts them because it's too expensive to take care of them all. The homeless animals have sometimes problems with health and it cost alot of money to treat them all. Oh, that's scary. I wonder it feels to be bitted by a budgie. lolz funny about the umbrella scared away the cat :P

I watched this video earlier today because of the title of the video.

I used to volunteer at an animal shelter before I moved away, and a lot of the cats liked to sit in laps. There were a few cats who liked to show their affection by "kneading", but had their claws out, so that hurt!

Oh cool. The cat in the video is blind according to the title of the video. It's so sweet to watch such videos. I love that some people can see value in such animals who are blind or has less legs. This video is so lovely!

In that video, I was sad to hear that it was suggested to the owner to euthanize the dog instead of adopting him, but I'm glad that she adopted him! It makes me happy that there are people who care, and work to improve the lives of disabled pets, when so many other people pass them over.

It's been more than 3 months now, without a single post in the "Other Outsiders" sub-board other than the introduction I wrote, so it is worth keeping up in case someone who later joins is interested? I've also asked about that here: http://iamfortress.forumotion.com/t15-changes-to-the-forum-structure

When I set this board up, I was also expecting people who identified with other labels, but still didn’t want sex, to also join. Not a lot of people from the other forum I run joined here though (those that did, never posted), and vice-versa. I've even some antisexuals say they were alienated by the other site, which wasn't what I intended to happen. Sad

I know there are others out there, and I’m still trying to find them, or hope they find this site.

I updated the misconceptions page on the main site to include one on "repression", based off of discussions from this thread.

I've been very busy over the past few days and may still be busy later today, but I'm still able to check on the forums a few times a day.

For my two cents I'd be in favor of keeping it, so that people know that while antisexuals may be insane, they're welcome to join us.

Speaking of insane, OMG I just discovered the emoticons.

So cute!
Razz

When would someone need this?
cyclops

"I had a dream I was a cyclops...BAM! Emoticon! Hahaha, yes, I have an emoticon for literally every occasion."

Cat? Cat?! This is one creepy-looking cat. It looks more like a pooka than a cat.
cat

How is this rabbit:
rabbit
And this is albino:
albino

So cute! I wonder if forums with cuter emoticons have fewer arguments.
sunny

Addictive behaviors, illustrated with emoticons:
This is you. Razz  You are very cute. Maybe you're generally pretty happy  Smile , or maybe you're having a really hard time Sad . Somehow, you discover being high drunken makes you feel REALLY happy Very Happy , so you start getting high on a regular basis. drunken drunken drunken drunken drunken drunken drunken drunken drunken
However, this getting high business is not all roses. flower  There's also the crash, when you start to feel bad Crying or Very sad  unless you get high again. If you get high again, everything goes back to being okay drunken  but if something gets in the way of you getting high, oh, look out. Mad

Soon, you don't feel good anymore when you get high Neutral , you just keep from feeling really, really bad pale . Surprise! What a Face Your recreational indulgence Wink has become an addiction Twisted Evil that's jerking you around on a short chain bounce .

And before you know it Suspect you'll have a monkey  monkey on your back, which will come as a real shock affraid when you try to quit. So just say No, like this guy:  No and stay your cute self Razz . There's too much love  I love you  and genuine happiness sunny in the world to waste bom your life with the nasty stuff.

I'm on a cyclops. cyclops

That is the most clever use I've seen for those emoticons!  Very Happy I was wondering what most of them would be used for. I also need to check if the option of "liking" posts can be added on, because I'd like that one for sure! Very Happy

Can we not have a organization for antisexual activists?
With our own symbol. Since there might be other antisexual organizations..
And also arrange pamphlets for people to download?
I could make such an organization but I would not wanna do it by myself, maybe if we can do that together, that would be great :) (since almost no one liked the idea of youtube lol.. hope you will not think this is bad idea too^.^)

The organization which I thought about, was an idea I got for all antisexual activists. To make people aware of the sex-brainwashing that is going on in the world. To let the teenagers know that they don't need to have sex just because they started high school.. If we can help people to be strong enough to survive high school as a virgin, it would be a step forward.  And also make the parents aware of how the TV and porn-music can destroy their children. I was 10 years old when I watched all the sexual dirty things that exists.

The satanic porn-music is everywhere so people should protect their children already when they are children, teach them that the porn-music out there is from Satan. If you don't know what i'm talking about, search "Rihanna" "Lady GaGa" "Britney Spears" or "Miley Cyrus" on youtube. These are the porn-music videos that both children and teenagers watch or listening to every day!

Not even one antisexual person can watch these prostitute-music videos without getting disturbed. They sing about sex. Every song is about sex or sexuality. So imagine what it does to the childrens brain and personality!

I've been led to believe that things and attitudes sway back and forth across time. So how long is it until the generic school in generic town is visited by the men and women in green and pink spandex adorned with foam statues of genitals as they embarassingly (Though they don't realize this as they are idiots) talk and sing to the kids how it's okay to ___whoever you want, however you want, whenever you want, and wherever you want.
And the kids finding out this stuff for the first time might say the obvious thing that someone would say who has not been tainted by society or hormones. "Why on the ever flying earth would we want to do any of that?"
And in seeng this display of who they might become the new wave of antisexualist ideals begins, in defiance of the current societal trent, much like how the sexual revolution started in the first place.

Right now, because there's nothing else that seems interesting on TV, I'm watching a show about people who have gotten "catfished", or they were led on to dating an overly idealized person who doesn't exist. One person comes up with an idealized persona that the other person falls for, and they find out the hard way that idealized person didn't exist.

I don't understand how so many people fall for someone who seems too good to be true. As the saying goes, if it looks too good to be true, it almost certainly is.

Since The Main Area is by far the largest section of this forum, do you think it'd be best to split it up into multiple sub-boards, such as one for projects related to the main page, and one about relationships, or do you prefer The Main Area as-is?
